About Arizona Cheetahs
Our program mentors, teaches, and trains youth ages 6-18 by providing a positive environment and an alternative to the negative factors facing today’s youth.
In the pursuit of excellence, we are striving to get our youth to believe in themselves, take risks in life, overcome adversity, handle defeat, thrive on challenges, and become winners. They are developing a positive outlook that turns "ordinary" competitors into winners. Teaching them how to focus their commitment, overcome obstacles, and achieve greater personal satisfaction. Giving everyone the opportunity to achieve success at his or her own level, thus fostering self-confidence and motivation. Training is structured to strengthen the athlete’s mental attitude as well as their athletic ability - helping them realize their potential both on and off the track, covering the psychological concepts; concentration, winning, losing, and competing successfully.
Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about practices, meets, and how to join?
Most practices are at the Chandler High School track. If there is a conflict, we try to schedule practice at Tumbleweed Park. Several times during the season we will train on the hills at Freestone Park in Gilbert.
The track season runs from January through June or the end of July for athletes that qualify for Regionals and Nationals.
Our club members are as young as 6 years old and we offer training for athletes up to 18 years old.
The fee for the season is $400 per athlete for January-June (July for those who make it to Regionals and Nationals). That's less $2.00 per hour for the entire season. You can either make payment in full or elect to pay $250 with $150 to be paid no later than March 7th. For athletes who will be training only (no track meets) the fee is $250.
Track meets are approximately every 2-3 weeks, however, occasionally there are track meets on 2 weekends in a row. Please check our Events Calendar for the latest information on our meet schedule.
Please visit the Join page to learn all about the requirements and download the information packet. You may fill out the paperwork and bring it with you to practice.
